Fit For Life Festival of Sport Launch

Excitement builds as we near our Fit For Life Festival of Sport week.
To continue raising awareness for this important transformational project, Kent College have kick started a Fit for Life Appeal including a Sports Festival which will run from 12th – 16th May.
A whole week of celebrations are lined up including a parachute jump over the school grounds by the Senior school Deputy Head ,Tony Kirk-Burgess, a whole school giant outdoor Zumba class, and pupils will have the opportunity to pledge their own sporting challenges whether it’s walking the dog every evening or playing a game of tennis twice a week. Inspirational sporting champions are supporting the Appeal.
Olympic Silver medallist and British badminton player, Gail Emms MBE joins the students on Wednesday 14th for a badminton workshop and talk about her successful career both on the court. On Thursday 15th the girls will be joined by Bonita Norris, the youngest person to have stood at both 'tops of the world', for an interactive climbing workshop and presentation. Completing the week on Friday 16th May will be British Lions and Welsh rugby legend Gareth Thomas, who played professional rugby for 12 years. Gareth has established himself as one of the most iconic and respected figures in world rugby. The diverse range of sporting celebrations during this week will highlight the enthusiasm behind the Fit for Life Appeal.
Our thermometer boards are now up outside both the Prep and Senior School. Follow our progress as we continue to raise money for our new sports facilities.
